2026-27 Season: team formation changing from Birth Year to Seasonal Year

Beginning with the 2026–27 season, all U.S. youth soccer programs—including NPSL, RCL, US Club, and US Youth Soccer—will shift from birth-year age groups to seasonal-year age groups.

New age ranges: August 1 – July 31 of the following year.

2026-27 Seasonal Year Age Groups
(school grade is fall of club season)

Ull:  Aug 1, 2015 – Jul 31, 2016 (5th grade)– 9v9
Ul2:  Aug 1, 2014 – Jul 31, 2015 (6th grade) – 9v9
Ul3:  Aug 1, 2013 – Jul 31, 2014 (7th grade) – 11v11
Ul4:  Aug 1, 2012 – Jul 31, 2013 (8th grade) – 11v11
Ul5:  Aug 1, 2011 – Jul 31, 2012 (9th grade) – 11v11
Ul6:  Aug 1, 2010 – Jul 31, 2011 (10th grade) – 11v11
Ul7:  Aug 1, 2009 – Jul 31, 2010 (11th grade) – 11v11
Ul9:  Aug 1, 2007 – Jul 31, 2009 (12th grade/graduate) – 11v11
